Our Vitamin D blood test will give you an accurate indication of the current levels of Vitamin D in your body. Vitamin D has recently shown to be a large contributor to overall health, particularly in relation to energy levels and a strong immune system. Muscle and bone health are also directly impacted by your levels of Vitamin D, and with the majority of the Irish population being Vitamin D deficient, this can be an important health marker for everyone to consider.

How it Works

Follow the 3 steps below

Through rigorous testing, we’ve determined the best combination of medical products to assist you in getting the sample we need to get you on track for better health.

Vitamin D Blood Test

Vitamin D has become something of a ‘super’ vitamin in recent years but what is it and how does it work?

Vitamin D3 is the form we make in our skin, and this is the main natural source of vitamin D. Vitamin D can also be derived from a limited number of dietary sources; vitamin D2 from plant sources such as wild mushrooms, as well as from fortified foods, and vitamin D3 from animal sources such as oily fish, liver and egg yolks.

The most common symptoms of vitamin D insufficiency in adults are:
• Fatigue
• Bone pain
• Muscle weakness, muscle aches or muscle cramps
• Mood changes

Prolonged or severe vitamin D deficiency can have serious consequences in both children and adults.

By monitoring your levels of Vitamin D, using HHC’s Vitamin D Test you can ensure that your levels remain optimal over the course of time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Once you set some dedicated time aside and follow the instructions, it’s very easy.

At HHC HQ (mouthful), we’ve all done these tests plenty of times so we’re quite experienced at it, but we have bullied our friends and family into it as well to make sure the instructions are as clear and informative as they need to be. If you’ve any questions on it, just give us a buzz on 01-9012000.

The lab we use is fully accredited and has worked alongside partners in releasing various papers indicating proven accuracy of capillary (fingerprick) samples. We only offer tests that meet rigorous quality control checks and make the final cut. There are tests out there we would love to be able to offer on fingerprick samples but they just aren’t suited for it. Your health and wellbeing is the driving force in our success and motivation – we will not compromise on that.

No! You absolutely still need to work alongside your doctor in managing your health – especially when it comes to chronic illness. What we’re aiming to do is lighten the load on Ireland’s GP network by offering a screening stage for your general wellness. If you want to take the first step in getting a better grip on your own health, one of the HHC Home Wellness kits is the perfect place to start.

Most of our finger-prick tests will usually be resulted within a day or two from our wonderful lab. If you factor in some travel time from the sample coming from you to us in Maynooth, then Maynooth to the lab in the UK, we’re typically talking around 5 working days.

Yes, very much so. Everyone in HHC comes from a background in either Healthcare and Technology, so we understand the importance of data integrity. We have multiple layers of security throughout our entire business to ensure your data is kept as safe as it can be. If you have any specific questions here, drop us a mail on info@hhc.ie.
